Away we go to SEPPA….

ImageQuix is ready to roll into Athens for a great weekend in Bulldog territory, where I am sure the Clemson sticker on the back of the car will ensure us a welcoming committee.

The drive won’t be too bad… just a short two hours away, and the company as always will be great. As long as the rain that promises to cover the southeast this weekend holds off we should be in for a good ride.

The Southeastern Professional Photographer’s Association (SEPPA) 2011 Convention will be held in Athens, GA this year beginning tomorrow (the 26th) and running through the 29th. There will be a trade show on the 28th and 29th which holds promises of awesome show specials and I hear the ImageQuix booth (#519) will have one of the best deals on the floor.

ImageQuix Featured Speaker – Gregg Martin

We are proud to have a rising star right in our own backyard. Gregg Martin has spent the last 21 years photographing over 350 weddings as well as the University of South Carolina’s athletic department.

Gregg’s achievements include 2009 Platinum Photographer of the year, 3 Fuji Masterpiece Awards, a Kodak Gallery Award, 1 Best of Show, 6 first place awards, 13 Distinguished Awards, and two Gold Addy Awards. He recently held a class at the PPA convention in San Antonio.

WPPI Wrap UP

Wow, it is hard to believe that we have been back over two weeks now! It seems like things are just getting back to normal after Vegas, and I just realized that the SEPPA (Southeastern Professional Photographers Association) is right around the corner. My head is swimming from all of the excitement!

Ok, just a few highlights from WPPI…….

Doug Gordon of course had us all on our feet and energized like no one else can! There were plenty of opportunities to see him between WPPI U, his platform class, and his two plus classes. Greg Schrader’s class  ”The Secret to Changing the Way You Photograph the World” was nothing short of amazing! The trade show was of course an experience in its self. Thanks to everyone that came by the booth. If you were not able to make it by you may be able to catch some post show specials still lingering on Twitter.

What an amazing trip it has been so far! It is hard to believe that the trade show has not even begun yet!

New Ways to Find Old Money in Event Photography Gregg Martin gave great insights on creative ways to drum up new business.
Who knew it was that easy to make over $2500 in two hours!
